Needing to breathe new life into their one-bedroom co-op, the Meyers hired Arbore Design with the intention of creating a "door" into the adjacent studio apartment. Instead, the idea of completely removing a wall between the two apartments opened up a world of possibilities for them.

The studio was transformed into the Master Bedroom Suite, using the former kitchen alcove of the studio as the new second Bedroom. The former bedroom wall of the one-bedroom apartment was demolished to bring southern exposure into the new Living Room, with an open view, flow and cross-ventilation to the newly renovated Kitchen and Dining Room.
